Before you save evidence

  • --Write the claim in one plain sentence.
  • --Keep the source URL, capture time, and visible publisher context.
  • --Mark what is observed and what is only inferred.
  • --Do not keep unnecessary personal data in the working note.

Before you share a report

  • --Check the date and whether the material may be old.
  • --Look for a second source or a reason why no second source exists.
  • --Add a confidence label instead of overstating the finding.
  • --Remove details that could create harm without improving the analysis.
