ethics

The research line matters as much as the result.

CSINT is built for legal, passive, defensive, and educational open-source research. The method should reduce harm, not create it.

What CSINT supports

  • --Public-source verification
  • --Source context and archive work
  • --Defensive exposure review
  • --Careful report language
  • --Training that avoids personal harm

What CSINT does not support

  • --Doxxing or harassment
  • --Unauthorized access
  • --Password attempts
  • --Phishing or social engineering abuse
  • --Target hunting against people

How to write safely

Do not make the report more dangerous than the evidence requires. Redact sensitive details, avoid unnecessary identifiers, and separate public evidence from interpretation.
