Team room terms of use

1. The service

The team room is a working tool offered by CSINT Research (Ahmet Göker) for small research teams to share messages and evidence files.

Names, messages and files are encrypted in your browser with the team key. The key never reaches us, so we cannot see, read or review the content.

2. Who is responsible for content

Whoever shares a message or file in a room is responsible for it. The team owner is responsible for who they invite and how the team is used.

Because we cannot see the content, we do not check whether it is accurate, lawful or safe, and we accept no responsibility for it.

3. What you may not do

• Anything unlawful.
• Share data obtained through unauthorised access, leaked databases or other unlawful means.
• Stalk, harass or threaten people, or expose their personal details to harm them.
• Share any content that exploits children.
• Use the room to spread or run malware. Sharing samples for analysis is only acceptable inside the team, in a password protected archive and for lawful work.
• Infringe other people's copyright or intellectual property.
• Overload the service, try to get around its limits or try to reach other teams' data.

4. Personal data

Open source research often involves personal data. You need a lawful basis for processing the personal data in what you share, and complying with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), the GDPR where it applies and any other rules that apply to you is your responsibility.

The team decides why and how its content is processed. The limited details we keep to run the service are listed below and on the privacy page.

5. What we keep

Encrypted content, file sizes, times, random member IDs, SHA-256 hashes of membership and invite tokens, and the terms version you accepted and when. For team creation and join requests the IP address is kept briefly for rate limiting; records older than a day are deleted.

Team, channel and people's names, messages, file names and file contents reach us encrypted; we cannot decrypt them.

6. Deletion

Everyone can delete their own messages and files with one button. The team owner can clear a channel, choose automatic deletion after 7, 30 or 90 days, or delete the whole team.

A deleted file is removed from storage at once and deleted records are removed from the database. The database infrastructure may keep deleted records for a limited time, up to 30 days, for restore purposes; those records are encrypted too.

Files and evidence bundles that members downloaded to their own devices are out of our reach and are not deleted by these actions.

7. Official requests

If we receive a lawful and binding request, we can hand over what we have: encrypted content, sizes, times, member IDs and short lived IP records. We do not hold the team key, so we cannot decrypt the content.

8. Abuse

You can report use that breaks these terms through our Telegram channel. Because we cannot see content, we ask the person reporting for evidence.

When there is a clear breach or a binding decision, we may suspend or delete a team without notice.

9. State of the service

The service is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will run without interruption or errors. When the free infrastructure limits are reached, file uploads may pause for a while.

Keep your own copy of important evidence with the evidence bundle. If you lose the team key or its backup file you cannot reach your data, and we cannot recover the key for you.

10. Limits of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for direct or indirect loss arising from content, its use, a lost key, an interruption of the service or lost data. On a paid plan, our liability for any claim is limited to what was paid for that team in the last 12 months.

The evidence bundle and the time stamp are working records. We do not promise that a court or any institution will accept them.

11. Paid plan

The Pro plan is paid per team. Price, payment and refund terms are given in writing at the time of purchase.

If payment stops, the team returns to the Starter limits. Existing data is not deleted for that reason, but new uploads over the limit are not possible.

12. Changes and law

If we change these terms we update the version date on this page and announce any important change here. Using the room after a change means accepting the new terms.

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Türkiye. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
