The archive desk is for checking when a page changed, what was visible at a point in time, and whether a claim relies on a stale or removed source.

--Is the capture complete or only partial?
--Does another archive or source support the same point?

An archived copy from a specific date shows that the page contained the relevant wording. This does not prove current ownership or current availability.
